my favourite bookstore now closed!

The Borders bookshop chain will close all its branches in the UK next week.
The chain went into administration earlier this month and had kept open all its stores while it attempted to find a buyer.
Administrators MCR said all 45 Borders and Books Etc stores would close on 22 December.
Borders has suffered from increased competition from online retailers and supermarkets. Borders employed 1,150 people in total.
"The joint administrators have been pursuing a sale of the business," MCR said.
"However, it has not been possible to agree a sale of any part of the business as a going concern."
The Borders chain was originally owned by the US book giant of the same name, but was sold in June 2007 to Risk Capital Partners, which is headed by Channel 4 chairman Luke Johnson.
Risk Capital then sold it on to the private equity firm Valco earlier this year.
MCR has previously said Borders had "severe cash flow pressures" and that several suppliers had stopped or reduced its credit, which made suppliers less willing to trade with the retailer and made it difficult for it to replenish its stock levels.
p/s:taken from bbcnews article on 18 december 2009. too bad i have to spend my time in other bookstore but Borders, I love most!

My birthday wish list

A leather strap rectangular shape ladies watch. Dear e-diary,just a simple battery-powered watch for my birthday treat next year on January. Twelve roman numbered on the white face with date indicated on small box that is what I want. I wish for a new watch on my cute tanned left hand and Seiko 5 will have a long break after tired being worn for all these 24 7 with my daily life. No, I will not abandoned Seiko 5 because she will always be my best favourite watch ever since. It just a watch for my birthday..

My final year project

This is totally a new thing in my field but off course already invented since 1970's. It is all about human powered flight and I got a new favourite person from the first I choose the title. Mr Paul MacGready ;invented human powered aircraft Gossamer Condor and won the Kremer Prize £50,ooo. Afterward, he invented Gossamer Albatross crossed the English Channel in 1979. He also invented the solar powered aircraft instead of pedal powered aircraft who needs a very fit athletic person to flew the aircraft. So, why must struggled hard as we got another alternative right? But, not for me, I got a very huge project to run here. 'Design of a ergonomic power train for a human powered flight - Theoretical'. Sounds impressive and I've done loads of reading and research about HPA(human powered aircraft). This is the person I admired..

Aircraft Maintenance Centre, Treforest

I took this article from my glamlife website, an improvement after what all of us had done to make sure the university provide a sufficient place for Aerospace and Aircraft Maintenance students.

As part of our continued commitment to developing facilities for Aerospace students, the University is building a new extension to the Faculty of Advanced Technology building at the Treforest campus. This will include an aircraft hangar and additional laboratory space. The new hangar will house a commercial jet aircraft and will allow students to undertake the necessary 600 hours of workshop training on specific aircraft. The development will also provide students with direct access to the existing aerospace facilities including the University’s flight simulator.

All this facilities maybe useful to future student but us...

Yes you are, the Queen of my heart

Happy mothers day to all..I would like to wish this especially to my mak(mum). Nothing in this world could describe how much I love you forever and ever. For all the hard work you raised me and still not enough to pay you back..

Spring mood + Exam mood + coursework mood = FLOWERS

hehehe..sounds silly..just remembered when I was in Keukenhof Garden,Netherlands, flowers everywhere..love that scenery other than books mess on my desk. Not enough that, when turning my head to the left..here it goes, bunch of books that not yet even touched. Hate that..I do love books but...not for the time being I think..Anyway, I got this pic from a friend of mine, and believe me, his photos are incredible...credit to nasikgorengpataya for his beautiful work.

yes, i am the sweet lady..

tulips are everywhere in this park!

Keukenhof (pronounced [ˈkøːkənˌhɔf], in Dutch: Kitchen garden), also known as the Garden of Europe, is situated near Lisse, Netherlands, and is the world's largest flower garden. According to the official website for the Keukenhof Park, approximately 7,000,000 (seven million) flower bulbs are planted annually in the park. [1]
Keukenhof is located in South Holland in the small town of Lisse, south of Haarlem and southwest of Amsterdam. It is accessible by bus from the train stations of Haarlem, Leiden and Schiphol. It is located in an area called the "Dune and Bulb Region" (Duin- en Bollenstreek).
The garden was established in 1949 by the then-mayor of Lisse. The idea was to present a flower exhibit where growers from all over the Netherlands and Europe could show off their hybrids – and help the Netherlands export industry (it is the world's largest exporter of flowers). Keukenhof has been the world's largest flower garden for over fifty years.
Keukenhof is open annually from the last week in March to mid-May. The best time to view the tulips is around mid-April, depending on the weather. In 2009 Keukenhof will be open from March 19 to May 21.

p/s: you seriously should go to this garden at least once in your lifetime folks! I love it soo much..ok enough about this flower thingy..back to work!

I am so excited about the bouquet of flowers and mr Bear whose idea came from my friend. Its a little bit funny as this is my first time heard of giving a man flowers and it will be delivered by me..auwww..here it goes..I spent about 2 hours at my local florist shop and the bouquet was custom made as I can told them my budget and the decoration..I bought Mr Bear which is perfectly for a man and directly send it to his room. Well, this is my first time buying a bouquet of flowers and unfortunately, thats not for me..maybe one day perhaps..who knows? Happy birthday Ajim..

Revealed: How 'Hairy Angel' Susan Boyle enjoyed her first brush with fame on Barrymore show in 1995... but was rejected

She's become an international singing sensation since appearing on Britain's Got Talent three weeks ago, but Susan Boyle auditioned for a TV show 15 years ago - and was rejected .

Susan, 33 at the time, struggled to perform on 90s show My Kind Of People and was not only given the boot by producers but was also mocked by host Michael Barrymore.

Her appearance was such a shambles that comedian Barrymore made fun of her as she sang and she even tried to kick him after he tried to get a look up her skirt.

An unseen video of Susan, now 48, showed her singing I Don’t Know How To Love Him from the musical Jesus Christ Superstar at the Olympia Shopping Centre in East Kilbride in 1995.

The scenes were never televised – but they were filmed on a camcorder by Julie Febers whose mother Elizabeth MacLean, 52, was also auditioning.

Ms Maclean said: 'Susan was a few people in front of me. When she began to sing, I knew she had a great voice but Michael Barrymore was taking the mickey out of her.

'This was mine and Susan’s second audition for My Kind Of People. When I saw her on Britain’s Got Talent, I couldn't believe it was the same Susan from the My Kind Of People auditions. I was gobsmacked and I had my hand up to my mouth', she told The Daily Mirror.

Since her appearance on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, Susan, of Blackburn, West Lothian, has gained an army of fans worldwide thanks to website You Tube.

Her video has now had over 100million hits on the site, making it the most watched video, surpassing even U.S. president Barack Obama's inauguration video.

And although it's been 22 years since Les Miserables took Broadway by storm, the musical seems to once again be a hot ticket thanks to the frumpy Scottish church volunteer's jaw-dropping rendition of I Dreamed a Dream, with theatre outlets worldwide reporting a surge in sales.

Susan, who has been branded the Hairy Angel and vowed not to let fame change her unglamorous image, was given in a dramatic makeover last week.

Her grey hair has been cut and dyed auburn and her eyebrows have been shaped.

Her grandmother Elizabeth, said: 'I am a pub and club singer and I have entered other talent contests but I have not got a jealous bone in my body. I’m absolutely delighted for Susan.

'She is a very sincere and down-to-earth person and after all this time it looks like she’s finally going to make it.'

Totally in love with -----> I Dreamed a dream by Susan Boyle

There was a time when men were kind,
And their voices were soft,
And their words inviting.
There was a time when love was blind,
And the world was a song,
And the song was exciting.
There was a time when it all went wrong...

I dreamed a dream in time gone by,
When hope was high and life, worth living.
I dreamed that love would never die,
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.
Then I was young and unafraid,
And dreams were made and used and wasted.
There was no ransom to be paid,
No song unsung, no wine, untasted.

But the tigers come at night,
With their voices soft as thunder,
As they tear your hope apart,
And they turn your dream to shame.

He slept a summer by my side,
He filled my days with endless wonder...
He took my childhood in his stride,
But he was gone when autumn came!

And still I dream he'll come to me,
That we will live the years together,
But there are dreams that cannot be,
And there are storms we cannot weather!

I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living,
So different now from what it seemed...
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed...

Susan Boyle

Who is Susan Boyle? She is the one of the contestant in a reality tv show in Britain, Britains Got Talent which the first week appeared in 2009. So, last Saturday on 11 April 2009, Susan Boyle went on stage in Glasgow and the Judges seemd to have already made up their minds that she wasn't going to impress them. But once she opened her mouth and began singing they were completely blown away. I myself completely amazed with her voice with a very wide open jar in my mouth (believed me, thats soo true)..So people, please don't judge anything by its cover otherwise you will lose sumthin that really matter..Just type her name on youtube, and hear her voice by yourself..Let me introduce you, Susan Boyle...

When one of your family moved out after these years..

What a very super dupper sunny weekend i just had this week. I called my lovely mum, in the Sunday morning which I know, they were all having a great nasi goreng breakfast and teh tarik which is my dad favourite hot drink and honestly, I never liked it when everything goes with the condensed milk. So, mum will make two different type of drink, one is O and another is teh tarik. I'm glad I have a great understanding mum in the whole world. Mum told me everything going on for the whole week and the most shocking thing was, one of my favourite aunt and her family, will moving to North side peninsular. I kept asking mum why on earth suddenly they decided to move over there. I just succeed to gather mum by moving near to the happy big family with her beloved sisters, mum and brothers. But wait, one more thing is that, my aunt and family stayed in KL for almost half decade and this happened so quick. Directly I sent a message to my uncle and he reply yes this is for real. Its a risky and I believed that he and family had thinking about this carefully and wisely. Good luck and take care..I know after this, all of us had travel all the way to visit and spend the entire weekend and we'll still in touch no matter what..all the best from family and me.
