Yes, I had a very bad day today but not like this young lady..And the solution is that, I went shopping at Pontypridd and having lunch at Mighty Cod..yeay! I return back from shopping before rush off to class. Actually I bought an ice cream, vanilla flavour Vienette and want to keep it in the kitchen freezer..Unfortunately, as I opened my kitchen door, lots of water were everywhere on the floor and guess what, its from the freezer..which as usual, someone idiot that did not close the freezer door properly (actually they did not keep their own food nicely)and it became defrost..U know when a freezer defrost dun ya? The kitchen flooded and slippery. My face was very upset and still holding the ice cream, my other flatmates told me they are not too strong to push the steel basket inside the freezer which caused the door opened since morning. Argh, I have to do it myself, with all my strength(which I've learnt from my previous job and my course too) then the basket sit nicely in the position and the door close firmly. I put my ice cream box inside and close the freezer. I look at my watch, its already 5.20pm, I had to go my Management class. Haih..off I ran to class..I hardly can't wait this coming Thursday..I will visit my friends in Glasgow, Scotland for 5 days. haha..

Where rainbows end-Saturday night reading, almost finish.
Where rainbows end
Rosie and Alex are childhood friends. They’ve been through everything together and have an amazing bond right from the start. As they grow up, this does not change, even when they start dating other people. However, fate steps in when Alex’s parents decide to go and live in America – and he has to go with them. They’ve never been apart before and Rosie is soon planning on joining a university in Boston so they can be together again.
However, the night that Rosie is due to fly out, she discovers something that will change her plans forever, and she stays at home in Ireland.
Starting at an invitation from Rosie to Alex inviting him to her seventh birthday party, this book chronicles their lives, from teenage dances to the start of their careers and relationships with others. How will Rosie and Alex’s friendship be tested when distance comes between them?
* Characters *
Rosie and Alex are obviously the main contenders and the ones we know most about from their correspondence. However when Rosie starts her first job, Ruby, an older woman is brought in as her ‘replacement’ best friend for Alex as he starts his new life in the US. Ruby’s appearance is mostly through instant messages which are fairly amusing, especially as she reads Rosie’s emails and is always sticking her nose in, wanting to know what’s going on with her and Alex and reading too much into what’s being said and drawing her own conclusions!
Other characters that pop up are Stephanie, Rosie’s sister who’s in France and Rosie’s parents (her mum trying to figure out how to use email is humourous) and Phil, Alex’s brother. Through these other characters we see what Alex and Rosie are really thinking rather than what they’re saying to each other. As their friendship becomes more complicated, they start to analyse what they really mean to one another and how distance isn’t really preventing them from seeing each other – their feelings are.
* Story *
This book is not what I expected at all!
The way it is told is quite clever. It’s told completely in note or letter form with ‘Dear Rosie/Alex’, instant messaging, email, text, postcards or even greetings cards! So the book’s pages aren’t full – they’re very gappy which I guess is a bit strange but the reader soon becomes used to it.
As I hadn’t known anything at all about this book, I had no idea about the strange way of story telling and I’m not sure if I’d have picked this up in a book store whether I would’ve bought it or not if I’d just randomly flicked through it. However, in the first few pages I was hooked and after an hour and a half train journey, I’d read over 100 pages.
* What I liked *
The banter between Alex and Rosie is really fun to read. They start as precocious children sulking over birthday invitations and this carries on to teenage years when Alex starts dating and Rosie feels a bit put out as their friendship takes a back seat. Their maturity comes through as their paths separate and jobs and families come into the picture.
Ruby is a really great character and is a person that, if you knew her, would be larger than life. She’s in her mid 30s at the start of the book and has a teenage son, Gary and an on/off boyfriend Teddy. She’s always there with ‘friendly’ advice for Rosie – which isn’t always wanted but she gives it anyway! I love the way her messages come through to Rosie at work and Rosie’s worried she’s going to get caught out by the bosses and be reprimanded for it.
The reader goes through everything with the two main characters, at times it’s frustrating to see how they’re hiding their feelings but at the same time it adds to the suspense and the bad timing on both their parts adds to the comic content.
* Good bits *
Little touches like Alex spelling ‘know’ as ‘no’ (consistently throughout the book!) made me smile, especially as it annoys Rosie and you get the impression that’s exactly why he does it!
One of my favourite bits of the book was when Rosie joins a divorcees’ chatroom. Alex’s nickname for her is Buttercup, so she signs on with that name.
Here’s a snippet:
Divorced_1: Well, trust me, it’s harder * with * kids. Unfortunately my rugrats are the spit of my husband and when I look at them I just want to strangle the little bastards. Do your kids look like your ex, UnsureOne?
UnsureOne: Yes and no. Some people say they do and others say they don’t. I’m not too sure really …
Wildflower: Let’s not be rude, guys, and introduce ourselves to Buttercup. I’m 62 years old, I’ve 5 kids and my husband left me last year.
Buttercup: Oh, how awful. I’m sorry.
Divorced_1: HA! No need to be sorry, cupcake. The man had good reason to leave her; she was sleeping with their gardener.
Buttercup: Oh!
Wildflower: Oh, *please *, like you lot never thought of ever doing the same thing.
UnsureOne: Well, my gardener was a woman.
* My conclusion *
I loved it. I raced through this book even though I tried to stop myself from finishing it too quickly. I loved the characters and the way the families are in the background and yet always coming to either Alex’s or Rosie’s aid if they’re needed. The strong bond that ties Alex and Rosie is there throughout, even when they’re far apart. It’s not overly slushy, their friendship is made up of teasing one another and joking but underneath the reader gets the impression there’s far more to it than that.
It reminded me slightly of Sophie Kinsella’s way of writing as I always find that very amusing so if you’re a fan of the Shopaholic series I think you’d probably like this book. However there’s more substance to this book and it’s not as lightweight - in fact there are moments of genuine sadness which *almost* reduced me to tears, but as I'm a tough cookie I managed to hold them in!
A lot of years pass and the reader experiences all the emotions and traumas along with the characters as well as the laughs and happy times.
I enjoyed the way it was written. At first it was weird reading so many separate ‘bits’ of story and piecing them all together but after a while, once the child versions of Alex and Rosie ‘grew up’ and they started emailing one another, that almost felt like spying on them. As we all know, it’s very naughty to read other people’s emails because they’re private. * evil grin *
In a nutshell I recommend this one. Highly – and five star treatment at that.
* Other info *

Take care and have enough rest aunt Marsila!
I got back from class early today( as usual, friday i will finish my class at 12pm). Ok, I got plan after back from class,( after arguing with the driver, to take the M4, A470 highway instead of back way that take ages to arrived). Last week was terible after the driver took the back way for about 2 hours journey to campus. Actually it just about 45mins drive from Barry to Treforest. I went to Cash office to settle down spring term hall payment, I still got balance GBP 538.00 from the total payment, GBP 806.00 (wow! that a lot! I can shopping anything I want or enjoy my holiday..yeay! still have 3 weeks to go for my next trip...) Ok..too much story here..I'm wonder why all places that I've been here, in UK, the bank, shops, restaurants, offices, people have to wait, I'm pretty sure if u ask people here, the customer service are very very poor..Everytime I went to the cash office, we have to wait about 30mins to get to the front office. Even in fast food takeaway, such as Burger King, I can see the worker laughing, chit chat behind the counter among theirselve while the customer is line up and wait..Patient huh?! The cultural here is totally different in Malaysia. I learn a lot. After waste my time for about 45 mins at the cash office just to pay the fee, I went up the hill to get back to my room.
Today as promised, we got a meeting with the landlord at 4pm (I will move to student house at Broadway, a few mins walking distance from my uni this coming July). (At the end,the meeting was cancelled as all of us wait for about 2 and 1/2hours).As I reach my room, I went to kitchen make a cup of capucino and 2 toasts for lunch. After that, while waiting my toast, I grab some coins inside the drawer, then went to public phone at 1st floor to call mum. Nothing much we talk, I just want to tell her that I already transfer money to pay the housing loan. My mum pass the phone to my brother, Ali, he said he missed me soo much and wondering why I didn't send any postcard to him. I explained, if I'm going anywhere, I will send a postcard for him. Afterthat, we hang up.
Back to my room, I switched on my laptop, sign in to Yahoo Mesenger, then Pak Teh say hi to me, greeting from Damansara Specialist Hospital. No, he is not the patient there, he is accompanying my aunt who had a major operation last Thursday. After an hour talking and video conferencing to the patient ( i saw the patch of the operation) and the nurse too, not to forget, Pak Teh and Hadi, I suddenly remembered that almost every year I went to the hospital to visit different person in different hospital. But this time, I just visit via online and I can assume that there are so many decease and not all can cure.
It depend to the person to handle the decease he or she have. As I look at my aunt, suddenly I remembered clearly, my other late aunt, who suffered breast cancer for about 6years. She was so strong to fight the cancer, but god love her more than us in this world. So, to cik Ila, take a good care of yourself ok? I will cook a special and super duper delicious lasagna when I come back home

Delicious and yummy Lasagna
Today I wake up early about 9am and went to kitchen to cook my favourite lasagna. Above pics were the lasagna that already cook (2 bekas lagi) haha..Actually I got first presentation in the afternoon later, but feeling too nervous, I made lasagna to cheer up myself.. Attached below, the lasagna recipe. Ok..continue eating my lasagna..hehe
Bahan :
A.Few sheets of instant lasagna (see pic) and Mozarella Cheese
B. Meat Sauce :
1 botol pasta sauce - Preggo/Ligo/ Dolmio or whatever brand u have in your kitchen cabinet
1 packet minced meat/chicken Ramly
1 tin cendawan butang, buang air, hiris
1 batang celery, hiris
2 bawang besar (warna putih utk rasa best, tak de bawang biasa pun ok)
4 biji bawang putih, cincang halus
sedikit lada hitam (kalau tiada pepper mills, tumbukkan biar pecah-pecah sikit)
minyak jagung untuk menumis
sedikit bay leaves
Cara :
1. Panaskan minyak, tumis kedua jenis bawang hingga wangi. Masukkan daging dan kacau hingga daging separuh masak. Masukkan lada hitam. Kacau hingga lada hitam dan daging sebati. 2. Masukkan pasta sauce dan 1/2 botol air (pakai botol pasta tadi). Masukkan cendawan dan masak hingga sedikit pekat.
3. Masukkan celery dan bay leaves. Biarkan sekejap sehingga mendidih semuanya. Tutup api.
C. White Sauce :
1/2 cawan air
2 cawan fresh milk (low fat/full fat, ikut suka)
1/2 cawan butter
1/2 cawan parmesan cheese (tiada pun tak pe)
1/2 cawan tepung gandum
1/2 teaspoon oregano
Cara :
1. Panaskan butter
2. Masukkan oregano, kacau sekejap
3. Masukkan tepung gandum dan kacau
4. Masukkan fresh milk dan air. Masak hingga pekat. Masukkan cheese. Kacau sekejap dan tutup api.
D. Cara Menyusun :
1. Letak meat sauce dulu. Ratakan dalam loyang.
2. Susun lasagna sheet.
Bila dah separuh masak, bolehlah tabur Mozarella Cheese atas lasagna anda. Teruskan bakar hingga masak.

Kerana Dia Manusia Biasa ...
I opened my email and one of my friend sent me this story..
Proses menuju pernikahannya sungguh ajaib. Mereka hanya berkenalan 2 bulan. Kemudian membuat keputusan menikah. Persiapan pernikahan mereka hanya dilakukan dalam waktu sebulan saja.
Kalau dia seorang akhwat, saya tidak hairan. Proses pernikahan seperti ini selalu dilakukan. Dia bukanlah akhwat, sebagaimana saya. Mereka berdua baru kenal sebulan. Tapi saya berdoa, semoga ucapannya menjadi kenyataan. Saya tidak ingin melihatnya menangis lagi.
Sebulan kemudian dia menemui saya. Dia menyebutkan tarikh pernikahannya.
That's all......Kami tenggelam dalam kesibukan masing-masing. Saya menggambil cuti 2 hari sebelum pernikahannya.
Hiruk pikuk persiapan akad nikah besok pagi, sungguh membelenggu kami.
"Kenapa kamu memilih dia?" Dia tersenyum simpul lalu bangkit dari baringnya sambil meraih HP dibawah bantalku. Perlahan dia membuka laci meja hiasnya. Dengan bantuan lampu LCD HP dia mengais lembaran kertas didalamnya. Perlahan dia menutup laci kembali lalu menyerahkan sekeping envelop kepada saya. Saya menerima HP dari tangannya. Envelop putih panjang dengan cop surat syarikat tempat calon suaminya bekerja. Apa ni. Saya melihatnya tanpa mengerti. Eeh..., dia malah ketawa geli hati. "Buka aja." Sebuah kertas saya tarik keluar. Kertas putih bersaiz A4, saya melihat warnanya putih. Hehehehehehe........"Teruknya dia ni." Saya menggeleng-gelengkan kepala sambil menahan senyum. Sementara dia cuma ketawa melihat ekspresi saya. Saya mula membacanya.Saya membaca satu kalimat diatas, dibarisan paling atas.
Assalamu'alaikum Wr Wb
Mohon maaf kalau anda tidak berkenan. Tapi saya mohon bacalah surat ini hingga akhir. Baru kemudian silakan dibuang atau dibakar, tapi saya mohon, bacalah dulu sampai selesai. Saya, yang bernama ............... menginginkan anda ............... untuk menjadi isteri saya.
Saya bukan siapa-siapa. Saya hanya manusia biasa.
Kenapa saya memilih anda?
Surat cinta biasa. Saya menatap sahabat disamping saya. Dia menatap saya dengan senyum tertahan."Kenapa kamu memilih dia......?""Kerana dia manusia biasa......." Dia menjawab mantap. "Dia sedar bahawa dia manusia biasa. Terdiam kami memasang telinga.Sunyi. Suara jengkering terdengar nyaring diluar tembok. Kami saling berpandangan lalu gelak sambil menutup mulut masing-masing. "Udah tidur. Besok kamu mengantuk, aku pula yang dimarahi Mama." Kami kembali berbaring. Tapi mata ini tidak boleh pejam. Percakapan kami tadi masih terngiang terus ditelinga saya."Gik.....?" "Tidur...... Dah malam." Saya menjawab tanpa menoleh padanya. Saya ingin dia tidur, agar dia kelihatan cantik besok pagi. Cinta tumbuh kerana suami/isteri (belahan jiwa). Cinta paling halal dan suci. Cinta dua manusia biasa, yang berusaha menggabungkannya agar menjadi cinta yang luar biasa. Amin.
Wallahu 'alam

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

My favourite cheese cake!!
Second cheese cake for fai..
I woke up late today about 12 noon..After taking shower and having lunch..suddenly, my cute little fingers type cheese cake in google. I know this is my third time making cheese cake. First for my girlfriends from Glasgow, they visit us here. Second, Fai birthday, I promise to make her a special cheese cake for her birthday and third, today for myself; suddenly I just feel want to make a cheesecake for my beautiful weekend! Well, today is my bestfriend, Kajol wedding day! I just text her a congratulation wishes via my other friend. I know, if i called the bride, no way she will answered it! she was damn busy in her wedding! I feel so sad I couldn't attend my best friend's happiest day in her life.. I called her, previous days before the wedding, I just ask how it was going on, if everything is set,bla bla...(to show how care I was about her wedding and deep in my heart, I feel so sad and bad I couldn't share her happiest moment) Also, I called her mobile early in the morning before the reception(after the akad nikah which a night before), but her sister answered, told me she is busy, and she said everything is going fine and kaj, already a wonderful wife right now. Its ok and told to her sister I wish congratulation for her wedding and I hang up.
Well, life must go on, right? Kaj is still my bestfriend for ever no matter how (even though she's already a wife now).
Ok, after searching for a simple cheese cake recipe, finally I found in youtube; how to make a cheesecake by Dyan. For those who still asking me the recipe, well, I guess this is the best I can get for ya..right now, my cheese cake is in the fridge and will be ready to eat tomorrow......yeay!

Purpose of life: is there more to it than sex, drugs and rock n roll?
Today, my uni, Glamorgan Islamic Society presents the first talk by Abdur Raheem Green, a britsh citizen who converted to muslim. It was an interesting topic and the speaker successfully delivered his message and thought, and make me thinking what is the purpose of our life exactly...Let say like this, we wear shoes, watch, scarf..well, shoes is to cover our feet and for walking, watch to show the time, scarf to keep us warm..but, what about us? think carefully..
I really enjoy the talk and perhaps I know what is the purpose of my life in this world..May god bless us.
