London trip!!!!

Ok here we go! Last Sunday, we fetch 8.35am bus to London and arrived about 11.45am. First thing first, we headed to UCL (University College London) nearby Euston square underground for the career fair. Nothing to fancy, just normal fair as in KL, crowded and full with Malaysian here and there..After collecting some infos,notepad,pens,lanyard,files,etc, we quickly went to Camden Town as I realized it was 3 or 4 stations from Euston. The place is exactly like Chow Kit and Petaling Street in Malaysia, but more with fancy buildings along the road. We found a food court and had loads of variety food there. We decided to take away Chinese food and again, walk along the town until the next tube station. Please set in your mind, never ever take the tube during weekend, like our experience that day, the tube line to Bayswater where we live closed! Not only that, we had to change the train for more than 5 times to the nearby destination, Queensway. About 4pm later, we finally check in to the Malaysia Hall room (this is my first time staying there!)Eat the takeaway, and I was awake that whole night until 3.30am finishing my assignment.

Early morning Monday, about 8am I asked the reception for internet service as I had the dateline on that day. UNLUCKILY, they just served internet for emails, not for any usage such as they hide the CPU and with limited time access! Thats the worst thing ever happened to me, I can accept if there is no WIFI in the building, but please someone might need the computer service not just leisure around with internet. I have to wait until 8am to 8pm, if not, I can't use the internet service. Penat je tunggu sampai 8am, last2 tak boleh buat apa kalau anto email kosong kat lecturer! Ok fine, I asked the lady where is the nearest internet cafe and off I go, found one just opposite the Queensway tube station. Everything went well in just for 10 minutes and I successfully send the coursework on time. I know I cannot complain much, as if I finished the coursework earlier and things wont happen like this. Well, I like the room, clean, warm enough complete with shower and cupboard,table and chair.

About 9am ish, we had nasi lemak breakfast at the Msia Hall cafe, and took the tube to Buckingham Palace. We were lucky enough because changing guard ceremony was about to started. Afterwards, we went to Madame Tussauds the wax museum, Oxford Street the famous high street in London for shopping spree, not forget to mention, I bought a Dorothy Perkins jeans and a pair of Draven shoes (my feet are hurting me all because of the boots, do not travel with boots if you are planning to have a very long walk!) again we bought Chinese takeaway for the lunch, Leicester Square, Piccadily Circus, Embankment, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Big Ben, House of Parliament, London Eye, St James's Park, Green Park,10 Downing Street the Prime Minister House and etc.

Phew! enough bout London. We had blast! any questions, ask me for guidance..ehehe..

Tuesday afternoon, we headed to Cardiff and arrived about 7.45pm.

In few hours I will catch 8.35am National Express coach to London with a friend of mine (J's sis) (believe me, I am not in a good mood to go to career fair while the submission date is on the next day,Monday!) Anyway, all the arrangement like coach tickets and Malaysia Hall accommodation already booked month ago, so I need a strength to finish it all before 7.30am later. There will no WIFI access in Malaysia Hall..I will bring laptop anyhow to start my thesis while in London.

Hate to catch the dateline!

Hoping 3 days and 2 nights in London will give me ideas to concentrate the thesis report. Will keep in touch after the Career Fair, and 'breakaway' in London folks!

I have nothing to lose

Got a letter from a very known company in Wales yesterday. I'd been through their interview process early in March. And this is the second time I've been applying for the same position since last year. It is not exactly a position, just an intern-ship programme for 12 month starting from summer. This year one of the interviewer recognized me after last year session which I was not the selected for the post. The interview went well and the result which I received yesterday, still, NO LUCK.

I know I am under scholarship but there always be other options. Seriously I am not trying to break the contract with my sponsor. It just, in soft speaking, I want to grab any opportunity that would come and in the same time gain as many experience as I can. It would be great to start working in my country in a little delay for a year or two..It is not a problem right?

But, I believe there is always vast of opportunity to be grab...I know I have nothing to lose..After graduation either I will pack back home where I belong then report to the 'boss' which pay for my degree and all expenses here or looking for job that could make money before I back for good.

p/s: to my besties, we need to plan a big and nice HOLIDAY when I get back ok???

9 degrees ain't cold enough

Last night was terrible. I cannot fall asleep like always I do. Maybe something in my mind kept running and spoiled the sleeping mood. I hate that. It had been weeks and weeks I off to bed at 4 or 5 in the morning. urgh..this is no good..

Hot? I don't think 9 degree Celsius is hot..(indeed..last night I had to sleep in half naked!) Or maybe its hot or I've already miss the Winter?

Courseworks? Loads of them with the dateline in a few days..(oh no!) and I admit none of them is satisfied me..(long way to go in a short time!)

or could it be money? every time when I go out shopping there is always enough money to spend. Maybe I concern about earning more money for future..(I always thinking what's my life gonna be when I come back to my beloved home country, I used to work before and my salary always not enough or was it me that do no know how to spend money very wisely??)

Now is 3.31 in the morning..and still my eyes open very WIDE..oh I am seriously need a break! Travelling and holiday perhaps??

My favourite food..what's yours?

Talking about favourite food, this little round shape sticky rice with stuff inside at first was not my type..(aha..like not your type of man of course!)I am falling in love with Sushi, Japanese famous cuisine when first introduced by Etake every each time we went to the Jusco Bukit Raja before the movie started. After the first bite, I know I already craving for more..Sushi is well known with its not so cheap food if to compare with other fast food restaurant or takeaway. At Jusco itself half of the A4 size box will cost around MYR10.00. Mahal woo.. Ridiculous price when you go to the sushi restaurant where loads kind of sushi on the conveyor belt, different colour plate with different price. Normally the tasty and delicious sushi will cost more!

So here, where I am now, a friend of mine works in a Japanese restaurant. I was the lucky charm as each time I am drooling and dreaming about sushi, I text him and this kind guy will bring 2 or 3 boxes full of sushi!

oh absolutely not that easy peasy lemon squeezy..Now, I know behind the big and glamorous title in a company its not what other people thinking..Loads money, big and shining car, beautiful bungalow with swimming pool...so materialistic...who doesn't want it rite?

after 3 years learning Management course..and the challenging coursework, it was hell susah nak mati course! (go find yourself the meaning, Google Chrome can help with the translation job!)

p/s: actually I was so mad today , it was all day raining and I bring my big and new Dunlop Umbrella for a group discussion to the library. As I arrived, I close my umbrella and put it down at the entrance door so that I will not messing up the library floor (being nice eh). After few hours, I was about to leave, few yards from counterdesk, my eyes popped out and spotted the umbrella was gone! Plus, outside the library, it was raining heavily. Owh it was great walking down the lane to the house in all wet!

p/s/s: in a good + sad mood but the most important thing, i am in halfway process to complete the project management coursework! yeay!! A week to go..haih

Jealousy

yes sometimes I do feel jealousy of everything surrounding..(Sorry, I was not talking about the above picture of course!)

1. I am in final year..jealous with the 1st and 2nd year lads relaxing, travelling for the term break while me, camping in my small cosy room..with a friend name PC(personal computer)

2. I starred outside thru my window pane, seeing the birds flying freely as nothing may come abandoned them. The kids of course, cycling around, main kejar2,soccer while the mother sits on the bench watching them smiling...

3. I am in my room while the others at class now, jealous because I woke up late! Hate this!

p/s; just wanna tell u how jealous I am now and hate being left back at home. For god sake, I miss my lecture..

Funny sentence of the day

Ok, today we got class as usual. Morning lecture, having breakfast, lecture, lunch hour (this time I turned out to be a good student, melepak kat hangar belek manual for 1 hour and half.) and continue next module lecture....

Class ended early while my lecturer busying switch off the projector and sit in front of the computer suddenly he turned his head to us and shouted,

'Ok, anybody wants the computer?'

A friend of mine sit next to me replied, 'to bring back home,sir?'

And all class laughed, at least after a long day bored lecture and end with a big laugh! My lecturer actually wanted to shut down the computer and instead of doing so he is being nice if anyone wants to use the computer to access the internet. Well wrong question I guess..LOL

Next wish-list came true!

Basic items come in the box. And this bloke gave me another free controller!

Finally I have a Wii.. Terus try kat umah ogie..And it works fine..£60.00 cash melayang for today. So, no more gadget shopping for this month! Now that Wii console in my car, don't know where to put. Thinking of to install directly with my pc. But after Youtubing the method, macam susah and have to add some more this and that thingy.. Will ask an advice from the Master Guru or Doctor Pc about this. Haih..

As I browsing thru my glamlife website(for those who have no idea what is Glamlife, it is a Uni website for Glams people..)I like browsing anything that for sale in Marketplace link, and my eyes starred long enough at this particular ads..Wii for saleeee!! and its super cheapp..this guy wrote £80.00 for the console, 2 controllers, and everything in boxed. So here we go, I immediately emailed this guy and asked for £60.00 if I got any chance to buy it with that price! (I know its really awkward to ask for the crazy cheap price, but hey, I would like to ask £50 or lower..perhaps freee..ahahaha) And late evening, (after declined to go out having a buffet dinner @Cardiff Bay, rather stayed at home and have a massive rest!!) this guy replied my email and agreed for the price I mentioned..He is willing to let Wii go with £60.00. OMG! It was super cheapppp..Mind you, this Wii console is in my wishlist BUT .... I do have the money for the time being..not for next month..(Silap2 aku makan nasi dengan kicap jek!) Think2..how to make MONEY instantly!!

P/S: Why I said the offered price for Wii is consider cheap? The price in website such Argos, Amazon UK or Ebay UK will cost at least £120.00 and above!! So half the usual price! I love being a student!!

Addicted

Few days ago, I think since last Wednesay after class, I felt so sick! Sounds ridicilous but it was true, after few days before that I just healed from another fever. My head spinning and heavy while my throat felt like someone is stabbing until I coughed really hard. I layed down and felt asleep after taking 2 tablet of very drowsy medicine. Next day I wake up at 12 noon, I felt so uncomfortable with my throat and again, my head is heavy..After bought chesty coughs syrup with co-codamol tablets, I felt better with very sleepy head. It works for few hours then those pain came back, again I swallowed the syrup and tablets and everything seems to black out. It has been two days now and I am strongly depend on those two prescriptions. Am I addicted to the meds or I am really not feeling very well lately?

My lecturer visit

Last Weekend I was surprised with a visit from my previous college lecturer whom continue her P.H.D in Cranfield Uni. We went to Caerphilly Castle, Brigend factory oulet, Coch castell, cardiff bay, Cardiff Castle, and kedai Cina (m'am pronounce ni) Global Food store. Pity they stayed for a night and not much to see for a short period. Anyway anyhow, thanks for the lovely visit Miss Shahani and family!

Bill oh Bill

Our utility bill especially the Electricity and Gas Bill came! Gosh this is the moment I really avoid to look at it..Luckily the Internet bill is fixed for every month..and with unlimited 20Mbp usage. Its really fast people! Not to forget about water bill, it is also fixed and usually it will be much more cheaper. Nothing to worry about, our rent is included with water bill.(Mat salleh kat sini x suka mandi ok..so mmg x bazir air punya) Different thing goes to electricity and gas here. They will charge us by the usage of the meter in our house. The bill come once in every 3 months. So memandangkan December until February was a bit more chill and colder during WINTER, those bills apparently will be INCREASE indefinitely. Why??? Because we use the maximum gas usage for heating system, shower and hot water even though there are timers been set. Of course we will not use the gas for 24/7..my whole allowances will be spending just for the stupid gas bill!

Ok cut the whole crappy things out.. both bills for December until February cost us £800.00!! Divide it into 4 of us, each person will pay £200.00 but still a lot to compare previous bill (Oct-December)where we have to pay around £80.00 per person. Almost Tripple figures.Haih..

Internet bill cost us around £10.00 per person each month and our monthly household groceries thingy (food,kitchen rolls,toilet rolls,laundry soap,dishes soap etc etc) will cost us around £50 per person.

Last but not least, our rent house which is £200 per person every month! See where the money goes!!

Guys, calculate for yourself how much student like us spend the allowances just for the bills, foods and rent. Luckily we have a very affordable bargain branded clothes, handbags, books, perfumes even in high street! And not to forget the carboot sales! Even the holiday is cheaper, the flight is cheap if you booked 2 or 3 months earlier! The prices are even not make any sense at all for example like my previous flight to Istanbul on early December just cost us £60 return per person, that time we booked on October. Total average cost for my budget holiday for a student like myself will not more than £200 which include flight tickets, 3 nights accommodation and expenses! Unless you are really go for a shopping and it does not count...

P/S: This month will be a hectic month for me, Messy's road tax will be due end of this month. I just paid a total of £250.00 for the bills and groceries. Have to get ready with Messy's road tax, MOT (in UK each car has to do annual inspection to make sure the car is in good condition), internet bills, Messy's insurance direct debit and house rent! Oh my god, I did not know a student life is such in a pain especially in financial crisis.

P/S/S: Easter holiday will be no holiday for me..Planning to go to Marrakesh but the flight ticket is very expensive. It was my fault actually, last minute decision..So just stay at home and trying to finish my thesis..

P/S/S/S: Oh Money! do come again..I need you loaddss...Or perhaps a very rich boyfriend??? haha

fyp is to read as final year project and fyi is well known as for your information...

fyp;get tired all these thingy in my final year. Mind me, each time I met the supervisor, my whole day will turn upside down. This is the reality I have to face not only my project but the advisor..

fyi;Submission will be end of next month!!! (wait a minute, no is not... MIDDLE of April, just recheck my schedule..I know there is sumthin wrong when I first wrote end of April..my apologize..)

fyi; I do realize I have 5 months left in this course. Damn, no more student life afterwards.

fyi ; need to figure out my healthy meal after this. Malas masak, so tonite just had instant mashed potato with curry gravy. Pour the hot boiling water and stir the mashed potato instant mix and curry gravy. Even in a small bowl I cannot finished it (not tasty at all). If there any mamak stall outside, I will be the regular customer of course..

OK now I just figure out there is only 1 FYP involved...meaning that I need to focus MORE in FYP..
