I am a foreigner

After finished assignment Module 7, I had a delicious dinner at a friend's house. A mate told me that there was a protest march being planned in our town. It made me think, being a foreigner is like pain in the arse. We are living in the same planet, breathing the same air but still hates are everwhere. I just could not understand why some people do not want trying to understand different culture in their community. Instead what they do, they throw eggs, shouting inappropriate manner, pull out woman scarfs, spitting, protest march and much more to show their uncomfortable feeling for the existance of foreigner who would like to live in peace.

Being a foreigner is not like what you guys are thinking. There a few positive points and for me loads of negative points will make you feel uncomfortable with the environment. Nak lagi duduk kat valley aka kawasan kampung with bunch of sheeps, horses and cows farm everywhere. Like myself, I've been experienced all those dirty minded people done to few friends and me. Even worse, Miss L penah kena tumbuk sampai jatuh tersembam kat kaki lima time tengah berjalan2 disamping kawan2. Haih. Bersabar lah.

Feb 7 2010 by Jonathan Evans, Wales On Sunday

FIVE men have been arrested after a Facebook site was set up declaring “all Muslims should be thrown out of Wales”.

Around 150 people joined the group on the social networking site claiming they would march through the Rhondda Valleys to make their feelings known.

The proposed march has been described as “mindless bigotry” by racial equality groups.

But South Wales Police have now stepped in and arrested five men for religiously aggravated public order offences.

It is one of the first occasions people have been arrested over comments posted on Facebook.

The group has also been removed from the site.

Police now believe the march will not go ahead, but they will be on standby in case anyone turns up.

Members of the group, which was entitled Rhondda March, said they would walk from Treherbert down to Pontypridd on February 28.

And the organisers declared: “We Dont Want Musslims in our country move them out they are takeing over.”

The site said the march was planned to start in Treherbert at 10am.

The group’s message board was inundated with comments including “ai im in, gona put sum nails in a stick 4 the f******” and “Got my steel toe caps ready, wot a craking idea”.

Another reads: “send the f****** bk. Join us u now u want 2 stand up tall”.

A further message said: “Move these musslims back home”.

And another read: “yeah support our local buissnes not forgin ones. Im in”.

But the comments were labelled pathetic and ignorant by equality campaigners who are demanding that the march doesn’t go ahead.

Ian Titherington, secretary for anti- racist group Searchlight Cymru, said: “All this will do is cause trouble and give a bad name to the people of the Rhondda.

“The people in the group are just mindless bigots and it’s something the Rhondda could do without.

“Most of these people probably haven’t even met a Muslim.

“There aren’t many Muslims in the Rhondda but those who live there are very popular and work very hard doing hours that others won’t.

“And they are as Welsh as anybody else.

“You’ll probably find these people who have signed up going into a shop run by a Muslim and buying a pint of milk tomorrow.

“At the end of the day, these people are attacking their own community.

“It’s sad, pathetic and pointless. If this march goes ahead it will be very disappointing, the police have to make sure it doesn’t.”

Naz Malik, chief executive of AWEMA, the All Wales Ethnic Minority Association, added: “These people are just simply plain wrong and ignorant because they don’t know or understand Islam.

“They don’t understand that the majority of Muslims in this country are peaceful, law-abiding people who are fully integrated in British culture.

“If they took the time to learn about their culture they would realise there’s nothing to fear.

“But what they are doing is spreading the word of hate.

“They are just a bunch of misguided people.”

Former MP Ron Davies, who is now director for the Valleys Regional Equality Council (Valrec), is confident the march won’t go ahead.

But he added that if it did, the reputation of others in the Rhondda would be tarnished

Mr Davies said: “There are one or two groups in the Rhondda which are extreme right wing, but I don’t think what has been proposed here has any serious basis.

“In this case, my own view is that this group of individuals are trying to talk up their own self-importance by proving they have the capacity to arrange a march.

“If it went ahead it would cause great effects to the people in the Rhondda who understand modern day society.

“But I don’t think the threat can be treated as a serious one.”

Police arrested the men, aged 27, 30, 31, 32, and 36, on Thursday.

The 31-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

The men are all from the Pentre, Ton Pentre and Gelli area of the Rhondda. They have been bailed pending further inquiries.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: “The public order offences relate to comments posted on the internet.

“An investigation is ongoing; however it appears that the views expressed on a social networking site at the centre of this enquiry have been made by a very small number of people and do not reflect the true community spirit and cohesion in the Rhondda Valley.”

the reunion 6M

I admit not all events or reunions or kenduri I can attend. If I got the 'magic drawer that Doraemon use to travel anywhere in a blink' then its not a problem at all..Instead I do not have to be master mind to plan my holiday, road trip or etc etc..Just think the place you desired so much to go, pull gently the drawer underneath the computer table and 'pooff!' there you are! (ahaha)

So yesterday, 27 February 2010 almost 14 years we haven't meet so they decided to have a reunion in Shah Alam, Intekma Resort. It was my previous primary school Sekolah Rendah Pelabuhan Utara '96 and as usual, I just being the observer from Europe continent after few hours it was happened. Thanks Bai Rani for the lovely pics of you guys!! Gosh I cannot believe how old we are compare to 1996 brats!

1996 : I'm in second row 6th person from right (Im the prefect..ehehe)

2010 : Sorry.. Im not there..Really miss you guys!

Messy with her tyre and new movie critics!

Thursday was a very long day for me. Last night before off to bed I was offered by my housemate a prescription for my fever and here we goes, I was up at 10.30am. Gosh, I fully regret not to up lil bit earlier for my class. Mind you, I have to catch the uni bus to class so if I was late meaning that there is no class for you for the whole day. I emailed my classmate asking what happen in class, and he answered not to worry, they have to return back home at noon. It is a big weird if technology is everywhere, while I am at home missing the class and at the same time my classmate can email me what is happening in class. Well its true enough to say 'Thats what we call Technology people!'

Well back to my story at home, I made an appointment with two friends of mine to have a look with Messy's tyre at the nearby tyre workshop. Messy right hand side rear tyre goes flat since Saturday and few friends keep mention to me about Messy condition. Thanks guys. So, I decided to send it for a further checkup. Its weird after we went 2 workshops and none of them can't find what went wrong with the tyre. I told them I've been pumped the tyre twice and it punctured flat after couple of days. Just one solution they gave to me, replace new tyre! Goshh..we discussed and they advised me to let it be for couple more days. Meanwhile I asked how much the new tyre cost, the average for Messy size is from £33 to £42 each including all cost of labouring,VAT, MOT and etc etc. This is the price for budget new tyre not like what Messy currently use now, the Michelin. The same brand will cost me around £70 to £80..oh money! So I made my decision to hold it for a week at least. Really hoping that Messy's tyre will get well soon as well as her owner..

The Lovely Bones
Its a story based on a novel about 14 years old girl who was murdered in 1973. This girl narrated a story while she in a place between heaven and earth. She can watch her family, the murderer after her death ...

Ok thats what I can wrote the rest will leave to all movie lover!! I like the storyline and this is very unpredictable movie. And one more thing, the novel becomes bestselling novel written by Alice Sebold.

P/s: Enough that. I am currently busy for my Module 7 assignment which is due next week! And by the way, today is our Prophet Muhammad SAW birth date in Islamic Calendar 12th of Rabiulawal month.

My weekend

Got sore throat and I think gonna get sick this week. Yesterday get up early and I look at the backyard, snow...

Danish is not around until Tuesday so I will hanging and lepaking in my room (actually I got submission on 2 March plus my supervisor wants to see my table of context fyp..urghhh)Back to Danish story, he and his family which includes Daddy, Mommy, Mak Ngah and others are currently in Liverpool I guess. They asked me to join but I've already been places they are about to go..so better stay at home (at first, thinking to follow, but think back again..rasa serba salah dengan kerja yang banyak = MENYESAL aka REGRETS!!)So, let them go and left me in Trefforest..

Sunday afternoon, Miss oppss MDM Hus buzz me and suggested having lunch, Soto. Sound interesting, I agreed and both of us 'bersilat' at the kitchen for 2 hours while the boys were away 'Silat Training' at Sport Centre. Anyway, it worth to wait patiently and ate drooling delicious Soto! Hus made the Chicken Begedil while me cook the Chicken soup which is too salty (nak kawen kot tak lama lagi! hihihi) Forgot to mention, while cooking, we ate Mark and Spencers Mince Pie..sedap weh!

P/s: I remember those time while ago when I stayed in Sek 17, Shah Alam, every Wednesday there will be a place with loads of delicious food stalls called Pasar Malam and I love the Rojak Singapore, Soto Ayam Macik Gemuk, Popiah Ali and Tafu fa..Sanggup cancel kan date janji temu just to get these craving food!!! Lyn and Cik Tik will wait for me to go this Pasar Malam..oh I miss that weekly event!

About 5pm later, I went back home after few hours spending time in front of my pc, I fell asleep (I think it is because of the Beechams Cold & Flu sachets!) and make me awake at 12 midnite..

I dun remember what I've done on Saturday and few days before, movie marathons and hang up at friends house most of the time. Yeah, Messy got sick as well. First the fuse blown out and we've fix it and now tyre on right hand side at rear one is flat. Will ask a friend of mine to have a look. Be safe Messy!
My name is Khan a hindi movie played by Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan is the best! Only 1 or 2 songs in this movie and I dunno what to say..TWO THUMBS UP!
Another Malay movie, Keabadian Cinta, is not bad either..I see there is a lot of improvement in our film industry. Worth to watch guys!

P/S/S: Can I change my profession? Its not too late rite? Be a movie critic and a cook..I like that..ahaha
